Edoardo Modanesi
I am a second-year PhD student in Clinical Psychology at the Virginia Consortium Program.
I am a graduate of psychology and criminology from the University of California, Irvine. Subsequently, I obtained a Research Master in developmental neuroscience and psychopathology from a joint collaboration between University College London and Yale
University. I worked extensively in both research and clinical environments with individuals affected by childhood trauma, intimate partner violence and substance abuse.
My approach to psychotherapy is psychodynamic and person-centered, although I strive to consistently incorporate knowledge from the biology of neuroscience and the rich mindfulness tradition.
