To be invested in therapy means taking ownership of the process. Just like the role of an “owner” in a business, you are there when it opens and when it closes, you are the handyman, the fixer upper, the tally keeper, the leader, the marketing specialist, and strategist. As your counselor, my role is to assist you in taking ownership of your therapy and your life, supporting you as you make choices that can lead to life-long changes.

“Honor, courage and commitment” is my mantra. As a 14 year Navy Veteran, I deeply respect the sacrifice of those who serve our country, and I strive to carry those values forward in my clinical work. I am a graduate of Norfolk State University, with a Master of Arts in Urban Education - Community Counseling.   My 360 care model in Women’s health offers a wrap-around approach to working with my female clients - and I extend this framework in attending to everyone, whether they are suffering from anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, or other difficulties. I also welcome all those in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or gender expansive, queer and/or questioning, intersex, asexual, and two-spirit (LGBTQIA2S+) community, valuing the incredibly important contributions they make to our society every day.
